A video has appeared on the Internet showing the moment a rocket exploded on a German Navy ship.
The incident occurred on June 22 off the coast of Norway during a German naval exercise.
On the frigate FGS Scasonia, the accelerator part of the rocket failed during launch, as a result of which it burned out in the launcher.
The frigate received significant damage, two sailors were injured, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Interestingly, the inspection that took place before the exercises did not reveal any violations on the ship.
Sargent commentators have already put forward a version that the reason for the emergency on board was that the ship’s crew was distracted by World Cup football matches. Others write that the emergency missile was probably made in the USA and it was not by chance that it exploded during a period of cooling in relations between Berlin and Washington.
