Photos of Poroshenko at the opening of US military exercises near Lvov are being ridiculed online
Ukrainian users of social networks are ridiculing photographs of Petro Poroshenko taken today in the Lviv region, where the joint military exercise Fiarles Guardian 2015 with the United States started.

Poroshenko, in the presence of the American ambassador, first again voiced the thesis that “the fate of Europe is being decided” in Donbass, announced a new level of cooperation with the United States, and then took several ostentatious photographs in the soldiers’ canteen.
According to the PR people, photographs of Poroshenko chewing porridge with the rank and file were supposed to demonstrate the president’s solidarity with the soldiers. However, in reality, the publication of the photographs turned into an embarrassment.
Commentators on the photographs on the presidential page noticed that the canteen is strikingly different from those existing in the Ukrainian army. For the arrival of the Americans and Poroshenko, they staged a show near Lvov - they organized a “buffet” bursting with food.
“What is this show for? Where do we have this? Volunteers still collect buckwheat at supermarket checkout counters,” commented Tatiana Tus, a resident of Lviv.
“Our servicemen are praying that the Americans do not go home,” adds Nikolai Maksimchuk from Chernivtsi with sarcasm.
“Something hasn’t been finalized - a buffet is shown, and then everyone has a piece of sausage on their bread - funny. And you know how much the eggplant, which is freely available there, costs now,” quips Kiev resident Olga Rudyaka.
