According to investigators, the man, who had been convicted four times, committed robberies and assaults on Sevastopol residents aged 12 to 10 from January 60 to February 87. 10 women suffered at his hands. The suspect snatched bags from the hands of pensioners on the streets, waited for his victims in the entrances of high-rise buildings, where he beat them, after which he stole money and valuable property. The amount stolen varied from 150 to 7000 rubles.
On February 4, at the entrance of a house on General Ostryakov Avenue, a man attacked a 71-year-old resident of Sevastopol. The attacker, acting according to a well-established scheme, followed the woman to one of the upper floors and pushed her down from the landing. After that, he stole money and other valuable property totaling almost 5 thousand rubles. A woman with numerous head injuries was taken to the intensive care unit of city hospital No. 1, where she died a day later.
The detainee is accused of committing a series of robberies, including with the use of violence (Part 1 of Article 161, paragraph “d”, Part 2 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code), robbery for the purpose of stealing someone else’s property, including causing grievous harm health (part 1 of article 162, clause “c” of part 4 of article 162 of the Criminal Code), theft of a citizen’s personal document (part 2 of article 325 of the Criminal Code), intentional infliction of grievous harm to a person’s health, resulting in his death through negligence ( Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigation has collected a sufficient evidence base, the criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
