In Sevastopol, the American sect continues to recruit adherents
Sevastopol law enforcement officers have seriously taken up the activities of the Jehovah's Witnesses sect. This organization, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation, was not among those banned during the period of Ukrainian jurisdiction, and under the influence of preachers, hundreds, if not thousands of people donated savings and their real estate for the benefit of the pseudo-Christian church, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea announced an official warning to a 56-year-old resident of Sevastopol, who intended to attract new adherents to the sect.
“Together with employees of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an examination was carried out at the citizen’s place of residence, during which handwritten notes relating to the activities of the extremist organization, computer equipment and means of communication were confiscated,” the department reported. – The timely intervention of FSB officers helped prevent the commission of a crime. Due to the fact that the citizen did not have time to recruit other persons, there are no grounds for bringing him to criminal responsibility.”
Last week in Sevastopol, elders of the Jehovah's Witnesses sect, who conducted meetings and sermons through the Zoom program, were detained at a safe house. They collected very real money from parishioners, and for organizing a sect both face up to 10 years in prison.
