In Sevastopol they will be punished for singing the city anthem in Ukrainian
On Tuesday, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol adopted the law “On the anthem of the city of Sevastopol” in the second reading.

The song “Legendary Sevastopol” by composer Vano Muradeli with lyrics by Pyotr Gradov has been approved as the anthem of the hero city, the press service of the representative body reports.
“The law also provides for punishment for distorting the anthem of Sevastopol in public and public places. For example, earlier they tried to translate the words of the “legendary song” into Ukrainian,” the message notes.
After the bill was adopted in the first reading, deputies finalized it taking into account the opinion of the city's musical community.
Initially, the document presented three versions of the anthem: the score of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Black Sea Fleet, the score of the Black Sea Fleet Orchestra, the score of the Fanfare “Legendary Sevastopol”.
The author of the bill, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Alexander Kulagin, said that the score of the clavier of the anthem “Legendary Sevastopol” has been added to the document.
He conveyed to the city governor the request of professional musicians to provide funds in the city budget for a symphonic recording of the anthem with the participation of a large orchestra and choirs.
