In Sevastopol, a register official was caught stealing land near the sea
In Sevastopol, a former employee of the Department of State Registration of Law and Cadastre will appear in court on charges of abuse of office.
Without legal expertise and a package of documents, he registered ownership of a land plot worth 238 million rubles, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to investigators, in November last year, the chief specialist of the state real estate registration department of Sevreestr registered the ownership of a commercial organization to a land plot of more than 4,3 hectares on Antichny Avenue in Sevastopol, and then registered the transfer of ownership of the specified plot to another legal entity.
“At the same time, the registrar was reliably aware that the registration of the property rights of a commercial organization was carried out on the basis of forged documents containing false information and contrary to the requirements of the current legislation,” noted the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
Investigators qualified the registrar's actions as abuse of office, committed with grave consequences. He faces up to 10 years in prison. The criminal case has been sent to court.
