In Sevastopol, officials calculated their salaries profitably, and left the hard workers in poverty
Sevastopol, May 29 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) - The head of the Sevastopol road workers declares that he is “ashamed to look his workers in the eyes.” According to him, people are on the verge of poverty.
This information was announced by the director of the public utility company “Road Maintenance Department” Alexander Stary during a meeting of the presidium of the Legislative Assembly.

According to him, the main problem is that the city authorities have not yet decided at what rate to recalculate the salaries of ordinary workers, and at what coefficient to index them.
“The agenda of the next session includes the issue of indexation of civil servants’ salaries. That is, the officials did not forget about themselves. And I would like to return to those unfortunate disadvantaged workers working in city enterprises, including the one I manage. After Sevastopol became part of the Russian Federation, the city recalculated our salaries at the rate of 3,8 rubles per 1 hryvnia. At the end of April, they cut everything off and made the rate 3,1. That is, if he earned 2 thousand hryvnia, he began to receive 6 thousand rubles. And at today’s Central Bank exchange rate it’s even less. At the same time, prices “jumped,” that is, people actually remained below the poverty line. When I appear, the workers express their dissatisfaction, write letters of resignation, and they are right. When will we start thinking about ordinary people? Without them, the city economy will not function,” said Stary.
Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Alexander Svechnikov replied that the corresponding bill is almost ready at the moment. In the near future it will be sent for examination to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
“We requested 264 million rubles to compensate for the created gap. We were heard. We are waiting for funding to open,” Svechnikov said.
Svechnikov explained the need, first of all, to adopt laws related to the functioning (and therefore remuneration) of civil servants by saying that “the city needs to fully form a system of executive power in the shortest possible time.”
