According to investigators, on October 7, the suspect fraudulently lured a 13-year-old girl to an abandoned country house on the outskirts of the city, where, threatening her with a knife, he tried to rape her. The child actively resisted the attacker and managed to escape, contacting law enforcement agencies.
The identity of the attacker was established, and he was detained without delay. At the request of the investigation, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention against the suspect.
The sanction of the article of the Criminal Code under which the criminal case was initiated provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of twelve to twenty years.
Investigative measures are currently being carried out to establish the circumstances of the incident. The criminal investigation continues.
