Sevastopol, May 05 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) – Participants in the all-Russian motor rally “On the Roads of the Great Victory” arrived in Sevastopol. The promised retro cars did not reach the new subject of the federation.

The main organizer of the automobile “march” was the Russian Voluntary Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation and Navy (DOSAAF).
“The rally started on April 26 from Poklonnaya Gora. Initially, a large number of vehicles (“jeeps”, “lorries”) from the times of the Great Patriotic War took part in it. The main “highlight” of the patriotic action was the fact that the column was led by the car in which Marshal Zhukov took part in the Victory Parade in Berlin. Unfortunately, all these rare exhibits are not in the best technical condition, so they only reached the border of the Moscow region,” said DOSAAF deputy head Viktor Chernov.
The convoy traveled along the route: Moscow – Tula – Lipetsk – Voronezh – Yelets – Rostov-on-Don – Novorossiysk – Kerch – Sevastopol. In each of the cities of military glory, soil was collected in special capsules. This entire set was handed over to the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
“There were practically no difficulties. The rally was built on the principle of a relay race. There was the basic part of the rally. These are 6-8 cars that left Moscow, and 4-6 cars were adjusted in each region,” Chernov said.
In addition, the first deputy chairman of DOSAAF said that the organization intends to donate aircraft equipment from the Second World War to its Sevastopol colleagues.
“We want to develop the DOSAAF organization in Sevastopol. We are now donating 15 parachutes to the aviation organization. This year we also plan to transfer the AN-2 aircraft in order to develop parachuting,” he said.
In Sevastopol, the rally was greeted by local activists holding a huge (more than 20 square meters) Russian flag in their hands.
After the solemn ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths at the memorial to the Heroic Defenders of Sevastopol, demonstration performances by local paratroopers and aviators from the Yukharin Balka club took place over the waters of Sevastopol Bay.
