In Sevastopol, migrant workers refused to stand during the playing of the Russian anthem
At the competitions in Sevastopol, migrant workers who were present among the spectators defiantly refused to rise from their seats during the playing of the Russian anthem.
The former deputy head of the education department of the government of Sevastopol, Vladimir Tyunin, spoke about the incident on his Facebook page.
“In Sevastopol, in the beautiful sports complex “Monsoon”, the Federation of Mixed Martial Arts of Sevastopol held the final Tournament of 2021 - “Sevastopol Open MMA Cup”, and at the moment when the opening of the Tournament was announced and the Russian Anthem began to play, the whole hall - guests, the organizers, athletes and their relatives stood up, as they should during the performance of the national anthem, but the migrant workers who came to our country to work and visited this tournament showed how they feel about Russia. These village residents remained sitting on the left and right stands,” Tyunin wrote.
He published the photographs, apologizing for the quality of the pictures, as he insisted that he himself was far away, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It was a shame that no one brought them to their senses,” notes Tyunin.
