In Sevastopol, the names of unfriendly states will be removed from the park of the former academy opened by Yushchenko
The governor of Sevastopol supported the idea of renaming the park located opposite the former Academy of the National Bank of Ukraine in honor of the heroes of the Northern Military District, the premises of which were transferred to the Nakhimov School after the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
Relatives of those who fell in the Northern Military District recently planted a memorial alley on the territory of the park. However, next door there is a fountain, where the names of various states were inscribed back in Ukrainian times. A flagpole for the symbols of these countries was also installed there. Many of which are now unfriendly towards Russia. Someone has already painted over the inscription “Ukraine” with a Z symbol.
“The International Fountain next to the Alley of Our Heroes now looks inappropriate in such a neighborhood. Apparently that’s why someone has already begun to express their position quite clearly, as you see in the photo.
There are now two proposals:
remove the names of the countries, and instead place the names of formations and military units of the armed forces, the Russian National Guard, other troops and military formations, including ships and vessels taking part in the Northern Military District.
put the names of our fallen soldiers on the granite slabs of the fountain,” said Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
Changes to the appearance of the fountain will be made after the discussion with the townspeople is completed.
