In Sevastopol, the “March of Unity” led by Chaly and Menyailo gathered 20 thousand people (PHOTO, VIDEO)
Sevastopol, November 04 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) - “March of Unity” held today in Sevastopol instead of the “Russian Marches” that took place in past years, gathered about 20 thousand people. At the head of the columns of veterans, party functionaries, state employees and public activists were Sevastopol Governor Sergei Menyailo and head of the Legislative Assembly Alexei Chaly.

“Sevastopol! Crimea! Russia!” chanted demonstrators at one end of the column. “As long as we are united, we are invincible!” responded another.
According to Menyailo, people came to the march at the behest of their hearts. “The residents of Sevastopol went out on a march of unity at the behest of their hearts. This march is our strength, a manifestation of the townspeople’s support for the executive and legislative powers,” Menyailo said. “We are united,” Chaly confirmed.
“This holiday is 412 years old; it was celebrated for many years in the Russian Empire. It was stopped celebrating only in 1917 due to the revolution. Today it is filled with new content and also symbolizes the unification of Sevastopol and Crimea with Russia,” he explained.
It is worth noting that the previously planned presentation of the Sevastopol branch of the DPNI organization never took place, just as the “Russian March” at which it was supposed to take place did not take place. In the area of the Komsomol monument, from which the Russian nationalists planned to begin their route at 11 o’clock in the afternoon, no one was seen.
