Sevastopol, January 17 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) – The film crew of director Vladimir Bortko began work in Sevastopol on a new film “The Baptist” about the Kiev prince Vladimir, who converted to the Orthodox faith in Chersonesus.

“The fact that there is no film about the creator of our country, about Prince Vladimir, is not very good. We will try to correct this deficiency,” Bortko told reporters.

“It is very important to me that now in this place we remember the beginning of our country, which began here and which Prince Vladimir began. And I am very happy that Crimea, to which you can now come without visas, without anything, is Russian again, Russian again. This makes me very happy and pleased, like all of us,” added the film director.

Let us recall that the new Ukrainian authorities banned the screening of Bortko’s film “Taras Bulba”.
