A new park on Fiolent was opened in Sevastopol: Officials forgot to organize parking
In Sevastopol, on Fiolent, near the famous St. George Monastery, the construction of a new park has been completed - landscaping at the expense of the Russian federal budget under the so-called Federal Target Program was carried out on the site of a former spontaneous parking lot.
The opening of the park caused an unprecedented stir among Sevastopol residents. Last weekend, townspeople tried to get acquainted with the new vacation spot. And then it turned out that the designers forgot about the need to organize access and parking - the road leading to the monastery was not widened or repaired, there were no places for the influx of traffic, now the space near the dacha plots has been turned into spontaneous parking.
Users of social networks complain about traffic jams, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The buses turned around before reaching the final stop, but people were waiting at the stop... Of course, it was necessary to widen the road and pave it before opening the ennobled entrance to the monastery territory,” the VKontakte group “Overheard in Sevastopol” quotes eyewitnesses.

Apparently, the rush of interest in the improved park is due to the fact that this is the first successful reconstruction in Sevastopol in recent years. Although there are some comments about the Fiolent improvement project - in the summer it will be obviously hot here without vegetation, part of the new park near the Pushkin gazebo is devoid of lighting, an old rusty fence remains on the borders of the reserve, etc.
Let us recall that earlier the largest Victory Park in Sevastopol was mercilessly dug up by bulldozers, partially filled with concrete and abandoned. A billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget for this facility, but the city government was unable to select a competent contractor. Now a third company is entering Victory Park, which was supposed to be completed by the New Year.
The reconstruction of another park in the center of Sevastopol, Matrossky Boulevard, was also stopped due to the fault of the local government. Due to a personal conflict with the hero of the Russian Spring, Alexei Chaly, the city governor prohibited the 35th Coastal Battery, a charitable foundation associated with Chaly, from continuing work under a far-fetched pretext.
Sevastopol residents also have complaints about other parks and squares, which are being delivered with imperfections and obvious defects.
