In Sevastopol, a 65-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of murdering a local resident, the regional police press service reports.

According to her, a resident of Sevastopol contacted the police duty station. She reported that her 63-year-old father left home and never returned.
The personnel of the Department of Internal Affairs in the Balaklava region were focused on searching for the man. In one of the private households in the area, the body of a man was found, with signs of violent death, covered with branches on top.
During operational search activities, police officers identified a suspect in the murder. She turned out to be a 65-year-old resident of Sevastopol, previously convicted of causing bodily harm.
Currently, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee for Sevastopol has opened a criminal case against the attacker on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (murder). The suspect has been arrested.
