The only person officially killed on the cruiser "Moscow" was buried in Sevastopol
In Sevastopol today, the senior midshipman from the sunken cruiser "Moscow" Ivan Vakhrushev was buried. He fought until the last for the survivability of the ship, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ivan Leonidovich died heroically,” Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev wrote in his Telegram channel. “He led his team, brought the sailors out when the fire started, then went down, shut down the boiler room, but did not have time to get out himself. He accomplished a feat and saved the lives of hundreds of his colleagues.”
Apart from the foreman of the boiler room team of the survivability division of the electromechanical warhead on the cruiser "Moscow", there are no other officially killed. 27 crew members remain missing.
The remaining 396 crew members were evacuated from the cruiser to the ships of the Black Sea Fleet located in the area and delivered to Sevastopol.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the majority of officers, midshipmen and contract sailors will continue to serve on Black Sea Fleet ships, while a number of military personnel will transfer to ships of other fleets. Military personnel (sailors) who are conscripted will be transferred to the reserve upon expiration of their terms of service.
