Sevastopol, May 08 (Navigator, Viktor Orlov) - In Sevastopol, on one of the residential buildings near the “Monument to Sailor Cat” stop, a huge graffiti appeared depicting Russian President Vladimir Putin walking through a wheat field in a naval uniform. “Welcome back to your native harbor!” – reads the large signature on the drawing.

A group of artists who came from Moscow worked on the graffiti. One of the authors, Ilya Druzhinin, is known for his drawings on the walls of houses in the Russian capital. He believes that in a modern city, when tall buildings cover monuments, graffiti can become an alternative to monuments.
The drawing is located near the route along which Putin is likely to travel during his visit to Sevastopol on May 9.
“It was interesting to watch how it was drawn. First, a Ukrainian flag appeared on the wall - a lot of indignation. Then a touch of Russian on the left. Then Putin - and only then did everyone calm down,” journalist Vladislav Osipov, who witnessed the work of Moscow artists, described the process of creating graffiti.
