The governor of the city, Sergei Menyailo, announced this at an extraordinary plenary meeting of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol, the press service of the representative body reports.

Sergei Menyailo intends to request from the Night Wolves MANO a well-developed concept for locating a sports and patriotic center in the area of Mount Gasforta.
The chairman of the commission on urban planning and land use, Vyacheslav Gorelov, expressed concern that when preparing the resolution and the lease agreement, no analysis was carried out of the impact of the future project on the natural landscape and historical and archaeological monument - Mount Gasforta.
The governor's representative, Alexander Svechnikov, agreed with Gorelov's arguments and announced the city government's readiness to consider the commission's proposals.
During the meeting, deputies asked government members about how the reservoir falling within the area of the allocated territory will be preserved.
The governor explained that the suspension of the decree on the lease of the site will allow a more thorough approach to all documentation of the Mount Gasforta area.
Commenting on the issue on the merits, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Alexander Kulagin also drew Menyailo’s attention to the different approach to the provision of property and land to structures and departments operating in the territory of Sevastopol. According to the deputy, the city government, while providing land plots and property complexes to the Ministry of Defense and other government bodies, has still not allocated or assigned premises to the municipal government. He asked the government apparatus to tell Sevastopol residents as openly as possible about who and on what basis city facilities and land plots are transferred.
In turn, the speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Alexey Chaly, supported the speech of his deputy, returning to the issue of allocating land in the area of Mount Gasforta.
“I would like to point out that this is a unique object for the city. We are talking about 2,7 square kilometers in the area of this object. There is nothing else like it on our territory. We don't have such a lake anymore. There is only one thing, and there is a nature protection zone. I think that this resource can be used very carefully. What we put into it now, we will put into it forever. It will no longer be possible to change this. Therefore, it seems to me that the issue here should be studied very seriously. Absolutely, with a broad public discussion, it can, just like the options for the General Plan, involve several structures that will design the future of this place,” said Alexey Chaly.
