In Sevastopol, the conflict continues over land for the “Night Wolves” bike center
The Russian Ministry of Defense is asking the authorities of Sevastopol to transfer into federal ownership a 226-hectare plot near Mount Gasforta, where the Night Wolves motorcycle club has been holding a bike show for the last 7 years. The military department wants to create there a branch of the military-patriotic cultural park of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation “Patriot”. This was stated today at a meeting of the government of Sevastopol by the director of the department for property and land relations, Rustem Zainullin.

“In this case, the land plot is transferred to federal ownership with an existing encumbrance, namely a lease agreement concluded with the non-profit organization Night Wolves,” Zainullin explained.
The government of Sevastopol did not make decisions on this site, accepting the arguments of the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the city, Alexei Chaly.
“It is completely incorrect to transfer ownership of such an object to the Ministry of Defense without receiving the project and the townspeople understanding what will happen there. I am convinced that this kind of decision will not be supported either by the Legislative Assembly or by city residents without public hearings,” Chaly urged.
On May 12, 2015, the then governor of Sevastopol, Sergei Menyailo, signed a government decree, according to which the site near Mount Gasforta was leased to the “Night Wolves” motorcycle club. On May 23, 2015, the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol, which at that time was headed by Alexey Chaly, proposed that the city government terminate the lease agreement and ensure public hearings.
