In Sevastopol, they said goodbye to another one who died during a special operation in Ukraine - Guard Senior Sergeant Alexander Pirozhkov. This was announced by the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.

“A machine gunner, gunner and commander of the air assault squad of the 810th separate guards marine brigade of the Black Sea Fleet,” the governor specified. “From September 2014 to March 1, 2022, he performed military service under a contract in the air assault battalion of military unit 13140.”

Pirozhkov served in various military units. Since 2018, he has been commander of the air assault squad. He is survived by his mother, wife and son.


The day before, the funeral of junior sergeant Danila Romanitsa took place. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.
