An “Orthodox” controller for Russian drones is being developed in Sevastopol
The SOKOL-360 flight controller, developed by specialists from the Engineering Center of Sevastopol State University, uses domestic components and will in the future make it possible to completely abandon imported software in the production of Russian drones.

“It is expected that our flight controller will become a standard in Russia. If someone does not want to buy an imported controller with an imported program that can land a drone at any time on command from the State Department, he can use our “Orthodox” controller without software or hardware “bookmarks” and undocumented functions,” Dudnikov said.
"SOKOL-360" is designed to control the main drives and peripheral devices of quadcopter-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with the ability to automatically stabilize the UAV's orientation in space and remote control using additional specialized modules and components.
The Northern State University Research Center has already entered into an agreement with the Kulon Research Institute, which is developing domestic drones. "Falcon-360" is presented at the stand of NTI "Aeronet" at the International Aerospace Salon "MAKS", which these days is taking place in Zhukovsky near Moscow.
Initially, Sokol-360 will be compatible with the commonly used UAV control software - Mission Planner, but as part of the final stage of the project, its own multi-platform software will be created that will be able to compete with Mission Planner. The final product will use exclusively domestic cloud and navigation services and the GLONASS positioning module.
