In Sevastopol, the Russian Guard detained the desecrator of the Eternal Flame
A woman was detained in Sevastopol for burning two commemorative wreaths at the Memorial of the Heroic Defense of Sevastopol 1941-1942.
The lady was quite drunk and had previously been prosecuted for robbery and public insult to a government official, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
An eyewitness to the incident was a man who reported the incident to law enforcement agencies. Officers from the Russian National Guard arrived at the scene, detained the vandal and handed her over to the police for further investigation. A medical examination found that the 40-year-old attacker was intoxicated.
“The actions of the detainee show signs of a crime under Art. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Vandalism”. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being decided,” the Sevastopol police said.
