Sevastopol, December 18 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) – Head of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Alexey Chaly insisted on assigning one paid assistant only to deputies elected in eight single-mandate majoritarian districts.

According to her, the duties of the assistants will include organizing work on citizens’ appeals and ensuring meetings of deputies with the population in the districts, each of which covers up to 40 thousand citizens.
The remaining sixteen people's representatives, elected from the lists of political parties, agreed to attract assistants on a voluntary basis.
The draft law “On the status of a deputy,” taking into account the change in the number of paid assistants to deputies, will be submitted for the second reading after consideration by the regional government.
