A Public Chamber will be created in Sevastopol
Sevastopol, October 07 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) – A Public Chamber will be created in Sevastopol. This decision was announced at a meeting of members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation with representatives of the public, leading specialists in various fields of activity in Sevastopol.

Today, the federal city of Sevastopol is the only subject of the Russian Federation where a Public Chamber has not yet been created.
“The Public Chamber, in accordance with the new Federal Law “On the Fundamentals of Public Control in the Russian Federation,” is the subject of public control over the activities of government bodies,” Vladislav, First Deputy Secretary of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Vice-President of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of the Russian Federation, explained at the meeting Mushroom.
According to him, the list of tasks of the Public Chamber is “huge”:
“The second is the development and support of civil and public initiatives, grant support for public non-profit organizations, consolidation of civil society, public examination of regulations at all levels.”
Vladislav Grib added that a representative should be elected from the Public Chamber of Sevastopol to the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
“We are really looking forward to it, because it is very important for us to establish good partnerships with the public of Sevastopol,” he emphasized.
According to the law, the Public Chamber is elected every three years and must consist of 168 members representing 3 equal groups. These are 40 citizens who are approved by decree of the President of Russia; 85 representatives of regional public chambers; 43 representatives of all-Russian public associations.
