In Sevastopol, an obstinate businessman was fined for a Russian flag on a cafe
Sevastopol, July 05 (Navigator, Viktor Orlov) - The Leninsky district administration of Sevastopol filed a lawsuit against businessman Dmitry Posokhov for hanging the Russian flag on a cafe building owned by the businessman.
Posokhov said this in an interview with the First Sevastopol TV channel.
Officials motivated the lawsuit by the fact that, in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation, flags on private buildings can only be hung on public holidays.
Posokhov was awarded a fine of 2 thousand rubles. “I’ll pay and be the person who suffered for patriotism in Crimea,” the businessman said.

Meanwhile, the story with the fine is a small episode in the confrontation around the cafe owned by Posokhov, located on Ushakov Square.
The cafe is located on a summer area of 696 square meters, which was first rented until 2020, and then became the property of Vitaxa LLC.
The authorities have been seeking to stop the activities of the cafe on the observation deck for several years, but Posokhov challenged the actions of officials in the courts. Public opinion was not on the side of the entrepreneur - the townspeople had a negative attitude towards the fact that the cafe blocked the view of the city's South Bay.
At the end of June, the new governor Sergei Menyailo spoke in favor of demolishing the cafe.
