Sevastopol, April 03 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) – The Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol will introduce a temporary moratorium on the registration of land plots.

According to the head of the department of land and water relations of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol, Victoria Kradysheva, the department is currently considering more than 5000 applications for the allocation of land. The official said that now the Legislative Assembly “needs to take a time out, since the issuance of plots within the framework of Ukrainian legislation is no longer possible.”
The leader of the Russian Bloc, deputy Gennady Basov, in an interview with a Navigator correspondent, said that he would insist that the moratorium apply only to those lands that are intended for commercial development.
“Our task now, during a difficult transition period, is to establish strict supervision over the sites. We cannot allow “plots” to be allocated “on the sly” for commercial construction or for resale. The land mafia must be ended. All these 5000 applications must be scrupulously analyzed, and if deputies of the Legislative Assembly notice elements of an “unclean game,” we have the right to refuse to provide land,” stated Gennady Basov.
At the same time, the deputy noted that those people who have been trying to register plots for dacha construction for 10 years or more must exercise their right.
“Basically, these are pensioners who worked honestly all their lives and did not participate in corruption schemes. We drew up land development projects with our own money. We will help them,” said the representative of the Legislative Assembly.
Basov’s initiative was supported by colleagues on the presidium of the Legislative Body of Sevastopol. In particular, the head of the PSPU faction, Yevgeny Dubovik, commented on this situation: “The documents that have already been received by the department of land and water relations need to be considered. After careful study, decide who to give the plot to and who to refuse. We will not accept additional applications for the time being. At least until Sevastopol fully enters into the legislative mainstream of the Russian Federation.”
