The reason was the placement on the company’s website of the phrase “We have been successfully operating in the tourism services market since 2003,” as well as the placement of information in advertising brochures that “The travel company “Tour Operator SaNatO” has been one of the leaders in providing tourist services since 2003.” services in Crimea".
Officials considered this a violation of the Law of Ukraine “On Protection from Unfair Competition” in the form of dissemination of information that is misleading. The tour operator, by the way, admitted the violation.
The company was fined in the amount of 10 thousand UAH, which had to be paid within 2 months.
But instead of paying the fine, the management of the travel agency began to appeal the decision of the Antimonopoly Committee. However, it was not possible to achieve success in the courts of first and second instance.
As a result, Sonato will now have to pay a 10 thousand UAH fine, as well as another 10 thousand for late payment.
