In Sevastopol, a Ukrainian spy was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
The young man carried out tasks from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The 24-year-old Russian citizen was arrested early last year. Initially, he was taken into custody in Sevastopol. But later they transferred him to Moscow and extended his arrest.
“It was established that Evgeniy Vadimovich Petrushin, on the instructions of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in 2020-2021. collected and transmitted information about the activities of the Black Sea Fleet, which could be used against the security of the Russian Federation,” the FSB press service for Crimea and Sevastopol clarified.
The court found Petrushin guilty of committing high treason and sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment in a maximum security correctional colony, a fine of 100 thousand rubles and restriction of freedom for 1 year.
