In Sevastopol, the authorities renamed the “Russian March” and invited Armenians and Tatars to it
Sevastopol, November 02 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) - A procession will take place in Sevastopol on November 4, which, unlike previous years, will be called not the “Russian March”, but the “March of Unity”.
Deputy Governor Evgeniy Dubovik told PolitNavigator about this.

According to him, there is no longer a need for the word “Russian” in the name, because Sevastopol is already in Russia.
There will be no “Russian March”. There will be a Unity March, a Unity March. We had a “Russian March” before, under Ukraine. We marched there to show our Russian unity. We are united with Russia and among ourselves. Therefore, there is no word “Russian”, we are already in Russia,” the official said.
“In Russia, the Russian March, as you know, is a little different. This is Navalny and the like. We believe that we definitely need to show the unity of Sevastopol with Russia. We thank Russia for making us united. And what about some Russian marches - Navalny and all sorts of other comrades - well, that’s their business. We do not and cannot have anything in common with their position, because we have a completely different mentality – Russian, Russian,” Dubovik explained.
According to him, “unity” in the name of the march today has a much greater meaning than “Russian,” which will directly affect the composition of its participants.
“We invited everyone: Russian public organizations, political parties that registered, invited enterprises, the public, the government. Our organizer is the public – these include veterans’ organizations, “Self-Defense”, “Children of War” and everything, everything, everything. Well, the government supports it too. We invite everyone. We will not have anything so biased, some kind of pompous officialdom. Those. the people of Sevastopol will come. Let them stand in any column, march and show that we are united. We also invited national cultures, i.e. Armenians, Tatars – all of us. Let them come and show whether we are together or not,” said the deputy governor.
