In Sevastopol, instead of Chaly’s “team”, a self-defense detachment with dogs appeared on Nakhimov
Sevastopol, August 23 (Navigator, Olga Nikolaeva, Denis Kuzmin) – On Saturday evening in Sevastopol on Nakhimov Square a concert dedicated to Russian Flag Day was held. The United Russia rally previously announced for the same time was cancelled.

The square was guarded by Cossacks, Sevastopol self-defense and dog handlers with dogs trained for explosives. Visually, there were more security forces than spectators at the concert.
“Today there will be a festive concert, the celebration of Russian Flag Day continues. Self-defense was asked to take part in maintaining order - we do this with pleasure. We are always ready to be useful to the city,” said the head of the regional public self-defense organization Oleg Roslyakov.
“About 200 people are directly involved in security, plus 300-400 came just to look and show themselves. The flags of the Russian Federation and the flags of self-defense have been agreed upon with the administration,” he added.
"Calmly. In principle, we were expecting more people. In general, everything is calm, everything is fine. As you can see, there are about 500 self-defense people here. Everything is calm, without provocations... Well, it’s impossible for there to be some, to put it mildly, incomprehensible things on a day like this,” confirmed the commander of the 13th company of the Sevastopol Guard, self-defense member Viktor Melnikov.
A large group of LDPR representatives with party flags also came to the square. Creative groups from the city took part in the concert.
As Navigator reported, the day before the acting Governor of Sevastopol Sergei Menyailo announced a concert with the participation of the song and dance ensemble of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
The Sevastopol branch of the United Russia party withdrew its application to hold a rally on August 23, which was supposed to take place exactly six months after the start of the Russian revolution in Sevastopol.
