According to him, an analysis by specialists showed that Inkerman stone and plaster were used in the construction. “The main thing now is to clean it up. It took a long time to whitewash and paint it. In general, where there is Inkerman stone, there should be no whitewashing or painting,” Menyailo said.
The only possible coating for this material is a special colorless composition, which should protect the stone from darkening.
The governor cited as an example similar work already carried out to clean the arch at the entrance to the city from Pobedy Avenue and announced work to clean small architectural forms on Primorsky Boulevard.
The Count's Marina is a historical and architectural monument that has been decorating Sevastopol since 1846. Located on the western shore of the South Bay, on Admiral Nakhimov Square.
