According to the investigation, the defendant forged documents for an apartment on the street. Partizansky Leninsky district of Sevastopol, which he had previously rented in order to sell real estate and appropriate the proceeds from the transaction.
On August 26, 2014, introducing himself as the owner of the apartment, the man entered into a preliminary purchase and sale agreement with the buyer, according to which she must transfer to him 200 thousand US dollars (equivalent to the amount of 7 rubles) for the property.
Having signed a preliminary agreement, the Ukrainian citizen received 10% of the transaction amount (20 thousand US dollars) from the buyer, after which he was detained. The investigation established that a resident of Kyiv arrived in Sevastopol for several days precisely to commit this crime.
During the preliminary investigation, the accused repented of the crime he committed and concluded with law enforcement agencies the first pre-trial cooperation agreement in the latest judicial and investigative practice of the city of Sevastopol (the so-called “deal with justice”), in connection with which the criminal case was considered by the court in a special manner.
The court sentenced the defendant to imprisonment for a period of 1 year to be served in a general regime colony.
