Ukrainian corvette Khmelnitsky captured in Sevastopol
Sevastopol, March 21 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – Russian military and Crimean “self-defense” fighters captured the Ukrainian Navy corvette “Khmelnitsky” in Sevastopol.

Nikolai Burdov, assistant captain of the corvette, reported this on air on the Kyiv Channel 5.
“These people who boarded the ship completely damaged the entire navigation bridge, damaged diesel generator No. 2, with the help of which the ship was supplied with electricity, disabled the control of the main engines, the personnel were blocked on the navigation bridge, at the moment the entire crew has been removed from the ship with the help of armed persons, only the ship’s commander, captain 3rd rank Rubkovsky, and the commander of the warhead-5, captain 3rd rank Pavlev, remained on the ship,” said the Ukrainian sailor.
The Black Sea Fleet forces towed the ship to Kurinaya Bay.
“When the personnel who captured the ship asked the crew to take the oath of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, 47 crew members who were on the ship rejected the offer and said that they took the oath once - for allegiance to the Ukrainian people,” Nikolai Burdov said.
