“It is necessary to sign a contract for landscaping the area around the Ukraina cinema. It is also necessary to improve the area around the Pobeda cinema. And indeed throughout the city. Involve our nursery. Sign contracts with them,” Menyailo said today at an operational meeting in the government.
Earlier, the director of the enterprise, Svetlana Frolova, told reporters that this year “Decorative Cultures” donated 10 thousand flowers to children's institutions, since they could not take part in competitions for landscaping work. Enterprises from Krasnodar won the competitions, and flowers were brought to Sevastopol from the mainland.
At the same time, Frolova noted that for the first time in many recent years, this year the government of Sevastopol, by order of the governor, allocated 3 million rubles for the development of the enterprise.
“The money was used to repair two greenhouses, to purchase peat, fertilizers, and seeds. We are also setting up a store for ornamental crops. We asked the governor of Sevastopol for 20 million rubles to modernize fixed assets in 2017. If this happens, then we will be able to quickly increase production volumes in the interests of greening the entire city,” Frolova emphasized.
The state farm “Ornamental Crops” was specially created after the Great Patriotic War for landscaping Sevastopol. In the 60-70s, he grew up to 1 million bushes of flowers and seedlings, which were used to green the city.
