“The decision was made in order to ensure public order during the festive events dedicated to Navy Day,” commented the deputy head of the main department of consumer market and licensing, Marietta Chernichkina, on the decision.
The trade ban will affect stores located on 70 streets in the city center and on the North Side. The ban does not apply to cafes and restaurants, but they are obliged to ensure that customers drink drinks only on their premises.
As Vice-Governor Alexander Reshetnikov reminds, on Navy Day in Sevastopol there will be a parade of ships and a military sports festival, in which more than 20 warships and boats, ten auxiliary vessels, and 30 units of equipment of the coastal troops of the Black Sea Fleet will be involved.
For the first time, the newest ships of the Black Sea Fleet, equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles, will participate in the holiday - the frigate Admiral Grigorovich, small missile ships Serpukhov and Zeleny Dol, diesel submarines Novorossiysk and Rostov-on-Don.
