Google services disabled due to sanctions started working in Sevastopol
Google services have started working again in Sevastopol. Users of social networks claim this, and the correspondent of PolitNavigator was convinced of this.
So, on the morning of June 23, paid and free content became available for download again in the Google Play application. The Google Analytics service is running, downloading updates and the Chrome browser.

Google's website has not yet commented on whether this fact is a lifting of sanctions by the American company or simply a technical glitch.
However, not all users have the ability to update the software yet. Some city residents still cannot use the services of the American company.
“After all, these sanctions were imposed on Ukraine, on the so-called “Crimean region of Ukraine,” and not on Russia. Those who have a Russian IP, as far as I understand, have no problems with chrome and flash now,” writes one of the users of the Sevastopol forum.
At the same time, in the rest of Crimea, when loading applications, the 403 error still pops up, which appeared after the expansion of sanctions against the peninsula at the beginning of 2015.
A few weeks ago, the Ukrainian publication Apostrophe reported that the US Treasury Department had lifted the ban on the use of American services in Crimea.
“Access to free and widespread Internet services is again permitted,” the publication quoted the department’s order. We are talking about social networks, email, publishing photos and videos, browsers, blogs.
Let us remind you that earlier Sevastopol lawyer Dmitry Mishin filed a lawsuit against Google, accusing it of violating consumer rights due to the shutdown of services.
