In Sevastopol, the symbol of the “holy nineties” will be built with “high-rise buildings”
In Sevastopol, a project was approved for the integrated development of the territory in the area of 5 kilometers of the Balaklava highway, where the city’s largest market was located since the 90s. Now here, at the intersection of General Morgunov Highway and General Ostryakov Avenue, they plan to build a road junction and a new multi-storey area, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The master plan provides for the construction of apartment buildings with built-in and attached non-residential premises, and a retail and office building with three above-ground floors in the area of General Ostryakov Avenue. The total area of residential premises is 15 square meters. The total area of non-residential premises is 278 square meters,” NTS TV channel cites data from Maxim Zhukalov, director of the department of architecture and urban planning.
According to Zhukalov, construction will occupy 25 thousand square meters and will require the removal of permanent buildings on the site. They were included in the decree of the Sevastopol government dated April 14 of this year on a targeted program for the demolition of capital construction projects that are supposed to be seized for state needs.
In turn, the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, recalled that a new road junction will be built in the area of 5 km, which also involves the demolition of buildings. Now the developer of the new microdistrict will purchase the properties.
“We need to build a road, and we needed this facility - we will not buy it or spend money. Now we will discuss, when concluding the volume of investment, what other benefits can be obtained,” the governor said.
Previously, the government published a resolution on the seizure of more than 20 different buildings for a new transport interchange at the intersection of General Ostryakov Avenue and the entrance to Maximova Dacha.
During the construction of the interchange, existing roads will be widened, two overpasses, 1,5 km of retaining walls, a roundabout and four underground passages will be installed.
The contract for the construction of a two-level transport interchange in the area of the 5th kilometer of the Balaklava highway has already been signed with the Antey-Stroyinvest company.
Previously, the Sevastopol authorities also planned to build a “judicial quarter” at the 5th kilometer: it was announced that instead of the Sevprivoz agricultural market, a new building of the Sevastopol City Court and official housing for servants of Themis would appear.
