The head of the education department, Viktor Oganesyan, announced this at a meeting of the Sevastopol government.
According to him, according to preliminary data, the number of students in schools will increase to 1,5-2 thousand people; more accurate data will be available by September 5.
“The increase in the number of children was not planned, except for the natural increase in children in the first grades, which we monitor. During the summer months, many children arrived from Russia and southeast Ukraine,” he said.
Oganesyan believes that “there is a question about additional funds to ensure the educational process for this category of students.” “Expenses: food, textbooks, and the amount of the wage fund,” said the head of the department.
In comments to Navigator, Oganesyan predicted a 10-fold increase in the contingent, up to 3 thousand people. The percentage of students from Ukraine and Russia is 50/50.
The official explained this by saying that Sevastopol is becoming a popular city, many people come here, including from Ukraine, who buy real estate here.
Information from "Politnavigator": In the education system of Sevastopol there are 185 educational organizations, in which 68 thousand children, pupils and students study.
