A Right Sector supporter was found in the Sevastopol Lunacharsky Theater
Sevastopol, March 31 (Navigator, Viktor Orlov) – Employees of the Sevastopol Lunacharsky Theater believe that the main director Vladimir Magar knew and covered up one of the theater directors Taras Mazur (real name Bug), who is a member of the right-wing radical organization “Right Sector”.

As the theater employees told Navigator, in December-January Mazur was absent from the theater for a week at a time, but at the same time he was given working days. Only later, having found Mazur’s page on VKontakte, did colleagues find out that he was on the Maidan. At the same time, the director did not hide his openly anti-Russian views and posted posts about how best to destroy Russian military equipment.
Last week, people in military uniform came straight to the theater for Mazur and invited him for a conversation. Upon returning, the director wrote a letter of resignation and left the city.
Judging by his VKontakte page, he is now in Bila Tserkva. Theater employees believe that the director in chief, Magar, patronized Mazur not only out of sympathy for the ideas of the Maidan (the director also condemned his subordinates for participating in pro-Russian actions). They have reason to believe that the artistic director linked his hopes of regaining his position in the theater with the change of power in Ukraine. He stated this in private conversations.
In 2011, an inspection by the Ukrainian KRU at the Lunacharsky Theater revealed facts of serious financial violations, and a criminal case was initiated. After this, city authorities raised the question of removing Magar from the post of leader. However, the theatrical community of Russia and Ukraine stood up for the director. Then it was decided to remove him only from the economic activities of the institution. The position of director was introduced.
“Now this husk will try to get Russian citizenship. And then Magar will again try to become the absolute master of the theater. After all, he essentially doesn’t care under which government he leads. But can a Russian theater be headed by a person who hates everything Russian, who puts on mocking performances based on Russian classics, distorting them?” said Tatyana Ermakova, chairman of the “Russian Community of Sevastopol”, in an interview with Navigator.
