As reported in the mission report, on the eastern outskirts of the Ukrainian military-controlled village of Berdyansk (2 km west of Shyrokino), at 18:35 Saturday, observers heard tank shots.

The mission assessed that the shots came from territory controlled by the Ukrainian government.

Fifteen minutes later, the observers also heard small arms and machine gun fire in the area between Berdyansk and Shirokino. In addition, at 15:19, observers in Mariupol heard the sounds of mortar fire. The Joint Control and Coordination Center later told the OSCE that in addition to mortars, artillery was also used.
