The study of the Ukrainian language is being returned to Sevastopol schools

The Ukrainian language will be taught in Sevastopol schools. This was reported by the First Sevastopol TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
For now, studying Ukrainian is not mandatory – about 180 children will take it as an elective.
“In addition to Ukrainian, the Crimean Tatar language is taught in schools. The study begins after an application from parents. More than 41 thousand children study Russian as a national language, about 180 people study Ukrainian, and the same number study Crimean Tatar. Also, the Department of Education received several applications for the study of Armenian and Azerbaijani languages,” the message says.
