Sergei Leshchenko, an active participant in the escalating clash between Poroshenko and Kolomoisky, said that he had received confirmation of the opening of a criminal case from the Swiss Prosecutor General.
At the end of December 2014, the Czech newspaper Pravo reported that a case was opened in Switzerland against Martynenko for accepting a bribe from the company supplying equipment for nuclear power plants, Skoda JS. Nikolai Martynenko is now unofficially in charge of nuclear energy in the Yatsenyuk government.
Journalists from the Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung found that Martynenko is suspected of receiving a bribe in the amount of 30 million francs, which were blocked in accounts at Hottinger Bank in Switzerland. There, the management of the financial institution noticed suspicious transactions and complained to law enforcement, Leshchenko said. According to the documents, the money was sent to Martynenko’s accounts under “consulting agreements.”
Martynenko himself has already managed to declare “manipulation” by the media.
