As residents of the building on Serova Street told Navigator, water suddenly disappeared from their taps last Wednesday.
“A day or two passed, but there was still no water. Or rather, a thin stream from the taps flowed and then disappeared. For the 6th day now we have been somehow collecting containers for priority needs,” Simferopol residents complain.
Along with residential buildings, the teenage clinic on Pushkin Street and nearby cafes were dehydrated.
On Monday, the city water utility finally delivered the equipment, and repairmen arrived.
“Nobody knows what the reason is. We have our own little Simferopol Bermuda Triangle here, the devil himself would break his head. Some in the electrical system, some in the plumbing and sewerage. Every time there is another accident, utility workers gather entire councils. All the pipes are old, probably completely rotten. It is clear that a huge mass of water is now going somewhere into the ground. They’re looking,” the residents worry.
