Simferopol, November 28 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The Mayor of Simferopol Viktor Ageev advocated the demolition of the Ukrainian Musical Theater in the center of the capital on Lenin Square.

He told reporters about this on Friday after a session of the city council.
According to Ageev, the theater needs to be rebuilt because today it is in a deplorable state.
“Experts considered that it was easier and cheaper to demolish and rebuild the building than to restore it. I don't mind, provided that a new one is built. I think none of the residents will object if a wonderful, comfortable theater with all amenities is built,” the mayor noted.
Let us recall that earlier the working group of the State Council Committee on Culture and Issues of Protection of Cultural Heritage came to the conclusion that the Ukrainian Musical Theater in Simferopol is in disrepair and it would be advisable to demolish it and build a cinema and concert complex on this site.
