In Simferopol, streets will be named after fellow countrymen who died during the Northern Military District
In Simferopol, several new streets have been proposed to be named after heroes who died during a special operation in Ukraine.
This proposal has been submitted for consideration to the Simferopol City Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The relevant municipal commission made a proposal to name new streets in the Petrovsky Heights microdistrict - Defenders of the Fatherland, Maxim Dzyubin and Viktor Gudkov. In the Zalesye microdistrict there are Vladislav Dorokhin and Maxim Starovoitov streets. In the gardening partnership "Energetik" (Komsomolskoye town) there are Volunteers and Volunteers streets, in the Kamensky massif - Heroes of the Paratroopers street.
The next meeting of the Simferopol City Council session is scheduled for November 24.
Last week, two metropolitan schools immortalized the memory of the fallen participants of the SVO. At school No. 8 there is a memorial plaque to Yevgeny Bukharin, who covered the civilian population during the evacuation from Mariupol, for which he was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, and at school No. 23 to Maxim Starovoitov, who died during the cleansing of Azovstal. He was also posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.
