Simferopol, August 22 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – This morning, law enforcement officers stopped the work of Simferopol airport due to a report of mining. An airport employee reported this to a Navigator correspondent on condition of anonymity.

According to him, in the morning, law enforcement officers cordoned off the perimeter of the airport terminal and did not allow either employees or passengers into the territory. At the same time, flights were delayed.

“They said that one of the passengers left a bag at the check-in counter that allegedly contained a bomb,” said an airport employee.

The airport information desk confirmed that the flight suspension was caused by a report of mining, but it turned out to be false.

The airport has now been restored and all flights are departing as scheduled.
