In the Crimean capital, the memory of the leader of the Soviet Union in 1924-1953 is remembered. Joseph Stalin needs to be immortalized at the state level.

This was stated in a commentary to PolitNavigator by the leader of the Sevastopol-Crimea-Russia NF Valery Podyachiy, convicted by a Ukrainian court for “separatism,” who took part on Friday in the Communist Party of the Russian Federation event to install a memorial plaque to Joseph Stalin.

Podyachy noted that today’s action is certainly an important event in Russian Crimea, because Ukraine forbade Crimeans to be proud of “the most outstanding leader of the state in the entire history of Russia.”

“The installation of a monument to Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt in Yalta, where the famous Yalta conference of 1945 took place, was repeatedly disrupted under various pretexts. At the same time, the authorities of the autonomy, currying favor with official Kiev, motivated the ban by the fact that it might not please a certain illegal ethnic group that acted on behalf of the Crimean Tatars. And thereby provoke an interethnic conflict in Crimea,” the agency’s interlocutor recalled.

In Russian Crimea, he added, nothing like this is happening.

“There is no ethnic conflict! There are separate dissatisfied, but this, as they say, is their problem,” the SKR leader emphasized.

Crimea and Simferopol, Podyachiy is convinced, “it is necessary to restore the monument to Stalin near the railway station of the capital of the republic, where he used to sit next to Lenin in a sculptural composition, as well as a medallion with his bas-relief in the main hall of the railway station building. There, too, there used to be a bas-relief of Stalin among 16 other bas-reliefs of famous historical figures.”

“Why wasn’t this done for the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory?! I think this question interests not only me.
We need mass collective appeals from Crimeans to city and republican authorities demanding the restoration of historical justice and perpetuating the memory of the politician who led the USSR to Victory in the Great Patriotic War,” summed up the TFR coordinator.
