Let us remind you that earlier this action was carried out by the Crimean Tatar Youth Center, which is close to the Majlis, but this year the authorities refused to allow this organization to carry it out - it was replaced by the Crimean Tatar Youth Committee, headed by the son of the head of the Republican National Committee of Crimea Zaur Smirnov, Aslan.
On a section of the square fenced off with bars, the organizers of the action placed cups with candles on the contours of a drawn map of the Russian Federation. In the center of the map is the Crimean Tatar national symbol - tamga. Entrance to the site was carried out through metal detectors; reporters without accreditation were not allowed to film.
The protesters used Crimean Tatar flags, flags of the Republic of Crimea and Russian tricolors.
The first flame was lit by the Crimean governor Sergei Aksenov and the head of the regional parliament Vladimir Konstantinov, then by the Crimean Tatar officials of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
