During the meeting, which was attended by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the results of the formation of the regional segment of the national counter-terrorism system in the Crimean Federal District were summed up, and priority areas for its improvement were identified.
The Chairman of the NAC noted in his speech that the situation in the field of countering terrorism in the district is generally characterized as stable, fully controlled by the authorities and law enforcement forces.
Thus, in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, urgent problems of ensuring the safety of fuel and energy complex facilities are being consistently solved, and a concept for the construction and development of the “Safe City” hardware and software complex is being developed.
Based on the results of the discussion, decisions were made aimed at improving the anti-terrorism protection of children's health institutions, places of mass gathering of people during the summer holiday season on the coasts of the Black and Azov Seas, transport infrastructure facilities, as well as increasing the readiness of forces and means to counter terrorist threats.
