As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, about half an hour before the opening of the conference, two minibuses drove up to the building - about a dozen athletic-looking men got out of them, and were joined by another 25-30 supporters on the street. Shouting “provocateurs,” some of them broke into the conference room. Among the opponents of the Majlis there were both Crimean Tatars and Russians. They were led by an Armenian who called himself Lan, a teacher at one of the sports schools in Crimea, where 700 people study, including about 300 Crimean Tatars.

At the conference, which was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Majlis Nariman Jelal, it was planned to sign appeals to Turkish President Recep Erdogan and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, as well as Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

After the opening of the conference, a fight broke out at the entrance to the Maracanda conference hall, which lasted several minutes. It began due to new demands from “athletes” to be allowed into the gym. In their opinion, the conference participants do not reflect the position of the entire Crimean Tatar people, as well as representatives of other deported peoples living in Crimea. The nervous atmosphere remained on the street, and verbal altercations continued.

As a result, the conference participants nevertheless accepted the mentioned appeals.
